Reconstruction of the inlet channel to the turbine
Hanuš, Roman ; Perla, Jan (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is designing the reconstruction of the watercourse leading to the mill complex in the Bohumileč village in Northern Bohemia. A proposal for a new safety weir has been developed on the watercourse, connecting to the existing dam with its original weir in an unsatisfactory state. A diagnostic survey and assessment of the original reinforced concrete channel in the former mill building, which has been supplying water to the water turbine since 1914, have been conducted.
Restoration of water management at the water mill
Chrástová, Veronika ; Duchan, David (referee) ; Špano, Miroslav (advisor)
The water mill in Příkrakov has been out of operation for several decades. The current owners decided that the mill wheel could be put into operation again. Therefore, the subject of this work is precisely the suggestion of how to get the water wheel of the mill running again. The design begins in the Ležák creek, where a weir with a floodgate will be placed. A floodgate will separate part of the flow from the creek to the millrace. From the millrace, the water goes to the mill reservoir, from which the water already flows through a reinforced concrete channel directly to the mill wheel. The entire design is supplemented by calculations which result is the total power and energy that the mill wheel is able to produce.
Dendrochronologické datování a stavebně-technický průzkum vodního mlýnu ve Křtinách
Zrůstková, Iva
Thesis tries to reveal more information about wooden historical constructions of the water mill and to assess their condition. The dilapidated water mill in Křtiny began to be gradually restored after transfer to a private ownership. Only a few records was known about the history of this interesting building. The aim of the thesis was dendrochronological dating and anatomical identification of the wooden constructions, completed by searching all available literature sources concerning the studied buildings. The priority of building-technical survey was to determine the degree and extent of damage of the individual wooden elements using visual assessment and non-destructive methods. Dendrochronological dating shows that the roof construction was build after 1913. The wooden constructions on the 1st floor and the 2nd floor were dated to the end of the 1920s and the beginning of the 1930s. Plank flooring was dated to the period after 1863. The oldest surviving construction located in the adjacent shed was dated to 1781/1782. The results of building-technical survey shows relatively good condition of wooden elements, however, the ceiling on the 3rd floor should be checked in regular intervals where water leaking was observed. Given that almost no historical sources was found the work brought new information about the development of the water mill. Moreover, necessary preventive inspections were recommended to preserve the historic value of the building.
Dokumentace technologie Šafaříkova mlýna
Hýrek, Tomáš
This Bachelors thesis aims to make documentation of the historical mill technology contained in the baroque wing of the Safariks mill in Nymburk. The conscientious measuring of each floor and its technology preceded it. The project is composed by technical drawings, description of the present conditions of the mill technology, design of the past arangment of the technology and discussion about causations of it. The author also outlines history of the mill and of the mill technology in general and describe principles of the work of selected mill machines. In the end there is also contemplation of possibilities in the present use of the mill building.
Interpretace tradičních strukturálních principů v konstrukcích dočasného charakteru
Joja, Marie
The paper focuses on traditional structural principles of historical buildings of the era 18 to 19 century in the Znojmo region, which are also included in the project „Identification and interpretation of origins, forms and transformations of Baroque cultural landscape of the South Moravian Borderland“. The aim of this work is to describe traditional roof frames of selected historical buildings of the area. The goal of the work is to find a suitable construction detail applied in the traditional roof frames, which would be used for a structure of temporary character. Temporary structures are associated with transient functional use, which can be one of the possible phases in the planned restoration of abandoned sites. The existence of many examples at the international level demonstrates successful redesign of dilapidated buildings by the use of temporary programme. The analysis of traditional structures proposed a suitable structural joint for a design of a modular element for the construction of temporary architecture. Its characteristic is the low-cost production and simple construction, which can be relocated to other places and adapted for further use. The significance of the work lies in the design of elementary structures of objects of a transitory nature, which are based on the traditional building principles of historical monuments and try to preserve structural uniqueness of the architecture.

Stavebně-technický průzkum vodního mlýna v Leskovci u Březové a návrh sanačních opatření
Orlík, Jakub
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the technical state of wooden support structures of water mill in Leskovec near Březová (Opava district). The purpose of this research was to determine the range of the abiotic and biotic damage to each of the major elements of a timber floors and roof structures. The scope of damage was determined by sensual and instrumental methods (Arborsonic Decay Detector and Resistograph 4453). The measurement results were recorded and compared with values indicated in literature sources. It was enabled to create overall technical condition report of the mill by evaluating gathered data. The report led afterwards to suggestion of remediation measures. Structural wood elements of the water mill will be preserved in a satisfactory condition by implementing these remediation measuers
Dokumentace a návrh obnovy vodního mlýna
Navrátil, Zdeněk
